Cellular 3G will work in Moscow on New Year’s Eve
Operators of the “Big Three” are planning to complete deployment of 3G cellular in Moscow before the end of 2009, the newspaper Kommersant. Operation of 3G networks has become possible after the Ministry of Defense agreed on a plan for their deployment outside space – the fact the agreement daily said on Friday at an expanded meeting in Minkomsvyazi electronic warfare commander Oleg Ivanov.
After coordination with the Ministry of Defense documents of frequencies for communication 3G, should be considered by the State Commission for Radio Frequencies, and then, Roskomnadzorom. In this regard, operators were allowed to use such standard connections only inside buildings and in the Moscow subway.
